Mosaic Florida Kingsnakes

Mosaic Florida Kingsnakes for Sale – Lampropeltis getula floridana

Looking to buy a Mosaic Florida Kingsnake?

The Mosaic Florida Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula floridana) is a beautiful pattern variation of the Florida Kingsnake known for its intricate “mosaic” appearance. Instead of the typical chain-like banding seen in many kingsnakes, mosaic individuals display a broken, speckled pattern that forms a complex mix of black, yellow, and cream markings across the body.

Native to Florida and surrounding regions of the southeastern United States, Florida Kingsnakes are well known for their hardy nature and adaptability. In the wild they inhabit forests, wetlands, coastal plains, and grasslands where they actively hunt a variety of prey.

In captivity, Mosaic Florida Kingsnakes thrive in secure enclosures with proper temperature gradients and hiding areas. Like other kingsnakes, they are powerful constrictors with a strong feeding response and readily eat appropriately sized rodents. Their manageable size, hardy disposition, and unique pattern make them a favorite among reptile keepers.
